Gazprom stations offer self-service with Petrol POS Print
Четверг, 20 Август 2009
gazpromGazprom Gazenergoset, an affiliated company of Gazprom – one of the world’s largest energy companies - has launched four automated self-service fuel stations in Rostovskaya Oblast in the southern part of Russia.

Each of them is equipped with two Petrol POS payment terminals developed by NCT and allowing consumers to pay by cash, Petrol Plus fuel cards or banking cards. The same terminals already run successfully at Rosneft, SibOil, Vicmos and other fuel retailers, and with high damage and temperature resistance significantly add to the overall security of the stations.

These are the first Gazprom stations operated in a self-service mode and as the fuel operator believes, such a format brings many benefits especially in the world economic recession environment. The construction takes substantially less means – namely, 3-5 million rubles (up to 110 thousand Euro), which is 3-4 times less compared to traditional construction. Automated stations occupy smaller grounds (about 300 square meters against 5000) - this allows allocating them in heavily built-up downtown areas. Lower construction and operation costs entail lower fuel prices, that alongside with shorter servicing time, provides substantial growth of client traffic.
