PetrolPlaza, one of the leading information resources for retail fuel business, published a video report from the AutoComplex 2011 international trade fair that took place early November in Moscow. At the trade fair the correspondents of PetrolPlaza TV interviewed Leonid Lavrentiev, CEO of NCT.

In the interview Lavrentiev reported on the major activities of NCT - in particular he spoke on the latest concepts in non-cash payment by means of self-service terminals.

On the 2nd of November NCT together with Tatsuno Rus and SKON organized a conference “Effective instruments of petroleum retail management” which took place in Moscow within an international fair “Autocomplex 2011”.

The conference was aimed at discussing new technologies in marketing, management and technical support, capable of cutting costs and increasing income in petroleum retail. It gathered more than 70 top managers from the leading Russian petroleum retail companies and became one of the most remarkable events within the exhibition.

November, 1st to 3rd, the NCT company will take part in the AutoComplex 2011 international trade fair which will be held at the Expocenter Fairgrounds, Moscow.

NCT stand will be entirely dedicated to Petrol Plus, the leading solution for establishing fleet card systems at petrol chains in Russia and the CIS. To the attention of the visitors the company will present not only the latest software upgrades, but also the equipment used within the system:  desk POS-terminals, and self-service terminals that allow reorganizing a standard petrol station into a non-operated one.

On the 2nd day of the exhibition, November 2nd, NCT in cooperation with its partners Tatsuno Rus and Skon will hold a conference on "Tools for Petrol Chains Efficient Management". Following the terms of the contract signed with Engen Petroleum over a year ago NCT continues to develop fleet projects in Africa. By now Petrol Plus operates in Engen subsidiaries in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon and Uganda. Soon the commercial launch of fleet card systems will take place in Burundi and the island territories of Mauritius and Reunion.

Besides, recently NCT signed contracts with OilCom in Tanzania and Benin Petro in Benin. For the moment installation of Petrol Plus has been fully performed and the projects have been put into commercial operation.

Apart from Africa, Petrol Plus continues to expand on South American market – Redcol, a Peruvian fuel retailer, extends its fleet card solution over more customers and increases the amount of issued smart cards up to more than a thousand.

Petrol Plus constantly expands its functionality and has become a reliable and versatile tool that complies with the requirements of the international market. NCT plans to continue intensive development of the present projects and provide further promotion of the solution in Africa and South America.

From the 19th to 21st of May in Reikartz Dnipropetrovsk hotel, Ukraine, NCT held its annual Petrol Plus Safari conference for Petrol Plus users. This year the conference gathered over 70 representatives of fuel retailers from Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia.

During the first technical section of the conference NCT leading experts presented new projects and services within the system, new on-line module, and terminal equipment updates. The technical section was completed by the report on new capabilities of Petrol Plus software.

The conference continued with the section devoted to the application of up-to-date marketing tools for petrol chains. It contained reports made by NCT partners, and included such items as segmentation and pricing, effective bonus and coalition loyalty programs developed by NCT, and a successful case of integrating Petrol Plus fuel application into bank cards by Araratbank of Armenia.

The participants could also attend demonstration stands and explore the operation of the system new Operation Centre, on-line authorization module, new ICT 2XX terminals and UniFlex-II reader for contact and contactless card processing.

NCT took part in the AutoComplex 2010 trade fair, held from 27 to 29 October 2010 at the "Expocentre" fairground, Moscow.

The company’s stand was devoted to the two leading software products for petroleum companies: Petrol Plus fleet card and loyalty system, and Servio Pump automation system. NCT also demonstrated Express POS and Petrrol POS terminals, developed to accept Petrol Plus cards and other payments in the self-service mode, as well as the new Ingenico desktop models.

At the stand of NCT’s partner, Tatsuno S-Bench, there was a presentation of a new terminal, built into the pump and able to operate both Petrol Plus and banking cards. Equipping petrol pumps with such terminals is a highly prospective solution for the Russian market, which was repeatedly noted by visitors, exhibitors, and mass media representatives.

During the fair NCT traditionally held International Conference of Petrol Plus Users that gathered representatives of leading fuel companies from the CIS and Eastern Europe for the 5th time. The conference featured reports on the latest developments in the Petrol Plus system, new tools for increasing customer loyalty, prospects and opportunities of  multi-issuer cooperation between representatives of the fuel market in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. The conference was concluded with a cocktail party, jointly organized by NCT, Tatsuno S-Bench and SKON.

Araratbank in cooperation with Flash network of petrol stations introduces the system of loyalty and fleet cards, based on Petrol Plus, in Armenia. The project is innovative as the system will operate on VISA Electron contactless dual smart cards. These cards have a magnetic strip which carries the banking functions as well as a contactless chip which operates the fuel application.

NCT developed special software for the two newest types of microprocessor that were chosen for the project - Mifare Plus and Mifare DesFire. It has once again confirmed the fact that the Petrol Plus fleet card and loyalty system can be realized on any carrier. To conduct the transactions Araratbank will employ the latest Ingenico equipment – G-Series terminals with contactless interface.

The system launch is planned for the end of 2010. At the initial stage of the project 5000 fuel cards will be emitted and accepted at 10 Flash petrol stations.

NCT in partnership with Impax Business Solutions will provide the National Oil Corporation of Kenya (NOCK) with the smart card based fuel and loyalty card solution Petrol Plus. NCT will deliver a turn-key solution for NOCK’s nation wide network of 67 petrol stations and Impax Business Solutions will operate Petrol Plus on the behalf of NOCK.

NOCK chose Petrol Plus through a competitive public tender from 13 suppliers of fleet cards from such countries as Israel, Ireland, France, Australia, Morocco, India, Mauritius and Kenya. The tender was held for over a year, and after technical demonstrations Petrol Plus ranked first. The key role in defining the winner played Petrol Plus proven track record, the innovative combination of a smart card based fuel card, and a RFID based vehicle indentation. After NOCK representatives visited Moscow to get acquainted with other NCT clients and projects, the tender board determined Petrol Plus as a conclusive winner.

NCT, a developer and supplier of customized business solutions, has accomplished the installation of Petrol Plus loyalty and fleet cards system at the petrol stations of Engen Petroleum in Rwanda, Africa.

NCT supplied Petrol Plus system to provide cashless payment operations between Engen Petroleum and its corporate clients at 20 petrol stations in Rwanda. As part of the agreement NCT issued 2000 branded fuel cards, installed 30 wireless POS terminals, and carried out integration with client’s ERP system.

High safety of operation is significantly increased by Petrol Plus RFID module which performs additional identification of a commercial fleet by reading an RFID tag fixed at the vehicle. The given solution will considerably reduce the risk of fraud and unauthorized fuel consumption.

On the 16-18th of September 2009 NCT took part in the Expo Postos & Conveniencia 2009 trade fair, held in Expo Center Norte, Sao Paulo, Brazil.

At the exhibition NCT demonstrated Petrol Plus, the loyalty and fleet card system, and Ingenico (Sagem) POS terminals. Visitors could see the operation of the exhibited products and put any questions of concern to NCT international sales managers. During the fair several negotiations with South American fuel companies took place as well.

Expo Postos & Conveniencia 2009 is the annual event, and though it is mostly local and targets at the inner market of Brazil, it remains the largest trade fair for retail fuel companies in the South American continent.

NCT Company is proud to announce the installation of 8 self-serve Express POS terminals at Bashkirnefteproduct petrol station which is located in the busy highway between the airport and Bashkiria’s capital UFA.

The installation of Express POS terminals was performed after complete reconstruction of the station, replacement of the equipment and management system. New terminals are fully integrated with petrol pumps from both sides and the customer has no need to dial the number of the pump as he did before. It cuts the time of refueling and excludes any errors.

From 20 to 22 of May 2009 NCT held Petrol Plus Safari 2009 – the conference organized annually for Ukrainian  petroleum companies. The event took place in the city of Odessa, an amazing place on the coast of Black Sea.

The central point of the meeting was a conference where NCT’s representatives made a set of reports resuming the achievements of the past year and presenting new solutions within Petrol Plus system. The following topics were particularly discussed: new solution for emission and operation of coupons, contactless technologies for transport identification, application of on-line technologies, automation of back-office processes at petrol station, self-serve POS terminals and others. Many of the presented solutions were also tested at the specially designed demonstration stands at the hall of the conference.

More than 70 representatives of Ukrainian downstream petroleum market visited the conference. Besides companies from Ukraine there were guests from Moldova and Georgia showing that Petrol Plus Safari becomes a truly significant regional event for CIS companies. The format of the event that combines business discussions with informal communications in some peculiar location has already proved its efficiency and the tradition that was started in 2006 will surely be continued.

NCT will take part in Filling Station 2009 trade show that will take place from 10 to 13 of March 2009 in International exhibition center, Kiev, Ukraine.
